Message	Which must be why BMW decided to extend the warranty to 10 years, as you've pointed out. A quick search on Google will bring up multiple instances. If they fixed it then great, I mentioned in my OP that I'm not sure if they've resolved it yet or not and I think it's pretty clear I'm not claiming to be an expert on the subject - just aware of the issue.
